I notice that Perry has listed Handgunners in the European Armies listings but the handguns themselves have firing mechanisms. So aren't these really arquebusier? Same with Front Rank in their WotR line. Am I missing something?

Not really. There were serpentine firing mechanisms by the 1470's, maybe earlier. Not really match-lock but close to it. Ramrods were already being put under the barrel by the time of the Burgundian Wars.

Whether you call it a 'handgun' or an 'arquebus' by that point might be the same as whether you call an 1853 Lee-Enfield a 'rifle' or a 'rifle-musket'.
