Todays post is my entry into the 2015 "Most obscure subject for a painting tutorial" category. Hope its of use to someone. Figures are Old Glory 15s I have had for years. My first 15mm tutorial, a scale I used to paint almost exclusively, now I hardly do any, moving to 28s.

Thanks for any interest, regards, Ken

Nice job. I have a lot of these, as well as British, to paint. I like the character of the figures but I do sometimes get irritated by how hard they are to make stand up when gluing to painting bases.

Hi steamingdave47,

I know what you mean with these figures, I always end up using tiny chocks of balsa under the metal base to get them to stand up straight.

Just use PVA glue and let it dry and thicken a bit before attaching to the base.

Hi Henry,

Thanks for the tip but sadly I've tried that. I come back an hour later and the figure has fallen over again. It seems to be a common design flaw for OG15s especially drummers, the centre of gravity seems to sit 3 or 4 mm in front of the base and without support it just falls over. The tiny bit of wood trick has worked for years.

Lovely Work! All my British and Hanoverian forces for Koenig Krieg 15mm games were Old Glory as well. You have done an excellent job sir :)
