Many of you I'm sure already know about this, but it was new to me, having been away from Warhammer for so long.

Was online researching alternate army lists and fan-made army lists and struck a motherload.

This fellow named Mathias has written numerous unofficial army lists, and to my sheer delight he wrote one for HALFLINGS!

Downloaded the free PDF file, complete Halfling army book.

Seems from what I read that these army lists are pretty balanced and playable for Warhammer.

I had been a bit dejected knowing that Dogs of War had long since vanished and was longer supported and that the Halflings hadn't been officially supported in GW rules since when- my God, third edition? They were included I believe in the old third edition armies book as an alliance race, and then there was "Lumpin Croop's Halflings", which was one of the OLD, OLD Dogs of War Regiments of Renown from third or fourth edition maybe? But that was it.

Any way, I'm just totally psyched that I can now add a Halflng army of The Moot to fight along side my Empire and Dwarf armies!

Not to mention that Battleforge makes an amazing line of 28mm Halflings which are sold in unit blocks perfect for the Halfling army list. Expensive but WORTH IT!!!

That fellow makes wonder army books. I also use them for unofficial Warmaster armies, drawing inspiration from them.

The Araby one is among my favorites, along with the Norse, Nippon and Albion ones :)

I'm really more psyched about warhammered halflings.

I love these unofficial army books. Too bad they are on scribd.

Are these army lists intended for any particular version?

They are aimed at the current (8th) edition of the rules.

Xintao,

Yeah the scribd part is annoying. However, for the halfling book I was able to download it as a PDF and actually print it out so I could have a physical copy, which is very cool.

When I tried to click on the links of the other books there was no PDF option as far as I could tell, you could only save it in scribd.

I'm not sure why they halfling book was different.
