Dear All, I am cutting a CD of appropriate music to accompany our Waterloo 200 Mega Game for the bicentennial. Whilst I have plenty of British, French, German marches and songs, I am struggling for anything to reflect the Netherlands contingent aurally. Any suggestions please? |

Au Suivant (Next) by Jacques Brel. YouTube link He is Belgian, it is a song about being in the army and it does mention Waterloo. Possibly not safe for work – especially if your workplace doesn't like songs about venereal disease sung in French. |

Thank you for all the suggestions – definitely have what I need now! Actually I've always liked Plastic Bertrand and Ca plan pour moi, bit of an 80's icon for me, but unfortunately he won't be marching on Brussels with us…. |

Actually I've always liked Plastic Bertrand and Ca plan pour moi In the USA at least, he is known as a "one hit wonder" sadly. Really like the tune as it went with the American punk movement of the late 70s/early 80s. But back on track, I really had nothing for you. Glad you found what you needed. |
