Dear All,

I am cutting a CD of appropriate music to accompany our Waterloo 200 Mega Game for the bicentennial.

Whilst I have plenty of British, French, German marches and songs, I am struggling for anything to reflect the Netherlands contingent aurally. Any suggestions please?

Au Suivant (Next) by Jacques Brel.

He is Belgian, it is a song about being in the army and it does mention Waterloo.

Possibly not safe for work – especially if your workplace doesn't like songs about venereal disease sung in French.

Thank you for all the suggestions – definitely have what I need now!

Actually I've always liked Plastic Bertrand and Ca plan pour moi, bit of an 80's icon for me, but unfortunately he won't be marching on Brussels with us….

In the USA at least, he is known as a "one hit wonder" sadly. Really like the tune as it went with the American punk movement of the late 70s/early 80s.

But back on track, I really had nothing for you. frown Glad you found what you needed.
