No Way! "PERSONAL ATTACK, POOR GRAMMAR: "Perhaps you're reading is a bit questionable as well." 3 day for that!!?? Please!!… I read every day much more "poor grammar" than that!. If anybody who push the complain button for THAT obtains 3 days in jail… well, we are really in trouble!! Please… free mon ami Terrement!. That's not a personal attack to be consider for 3 days out!! Amicalement Armand |
Texas Jack | 13 Apr 2015 11:36 a.m. PST |
I agree, things have gotten rather odd with the DHing around here. Free Terrement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Rebelyell2006 | 13 Apr 2015 11:43 a.m. PST |
I agree, he should not have been DH'd. |
VonTed | 13 Apr 2015 11:47 a.m. PST |
Well…. how bad WAS the grammar? |

Bill has too much free time at the moment… look at the number of threads he's started recently… |

The "poor grammar" part was humor… |
Steve | 13 Apr 2015 12:07 p.m. PST |
's when you mean plural = 1 day you're instead of your = 3 days broke instead of broken = life sentence |

Yes, "Let my JJ GO!" I see spelling, grammar, and sheer incomprehensibility in posts pretty much daily--and I must have made my own--but I don't understand calling someone out on it a DH offense. A personal, abusive attack, should be, but just politely shaming a fellow to try to have some consideration for his readers just doesn't rise to that level. "Pharoah Bill! Let my JJ Go!" TVAG |
nazrat | 13 Apr 2015 12:19 p.m. PST |
Dudes, he was Dawghoused for insulting somebody's reading skills. The "Bad Grammar" charge was just a joke by Bill. |
Editor in Chief Bill | 13 Apr 2015 12:22 p.m. PST |
It's not much of a joke when you have to explain it. |
RavenscraftCybernetics | 13 Apr 2015 12:35 p.m. PST |
Thr grammer must have been bad enough for someone to hit the [!] button. |
Mako11 | 13 Apr 2015 12:46 p.m. PST |
Free Terrement. What's the sentence for insulting someone's paintin' skills? Life imprisonment, death, 30 years, with the possibility of parole for good behavior after 15? Inquirin' minds gots ta noe (adding my Southern drawl on purpose, jus' fer fun). |
GarrisonMiniatures | 13 Apr 2015 1:19 p.m. PST |
Removal of the painting hand. This gives the other hand an incentive. |
Earl of the North | 13 Apr 2015 1:33 p.m. PST |
Seems a bit on the heavy handed side…..but i'm not in charge of enforcing THE LAW!, Thank goodness. |
Legion 4 | 13 Apr 2015 1:36 p.m. PST |
Yes ! JJ must be FREE !!!!! |
Saber6 | 13 Apr 2015 2:20 p.m. PST |
Free Terrement? why, isn't anyone willing to pay for it? |
Mardaddy | 13 Apr 2015 3:48 p.m. PST |
JJ and I get along on many levels. Yet I feel the DH was just. This could actually be a moment to reference when there are claims the Dear Leader overlooks one type, yet DH's political skree/opinions of another leaning. And Kudos to those that TRIED (in vain) to circle it back around to minigaming… |
javelin98 | 13 Apr 2015 4:10 p.m. PST |
Do I have to purchase another Terrement of equal or greater value? Seriously, I think this one was a little overblown. Let the poor guy out already. |
GeoffQRF | 13 Apr 2015 4:16 p.m. PST |
The "poor grammar" part was humor… It's not much of a joke when you have to explain it. Perhaps one should refrain from appending attempted jokes to more serious matters. |
Rebelyell2006 | 13 Apr 2015 4:17 p.m. PST |
This could actually be a moment to reference when there are claims the Dear Leader overlooks one type, yet DH's political skree/opinions of another leaning. I wouldn't say it is a matter of political leaning, as much as it is a question of whether Terrement's post actually meets the requirement of a personal attack, and if it justifies a DH. The deleted text here was blatant politics, and yet the poster in question just had most of his post deleted, and didn't get a DH. |
ArmymenRGreat | 13 Apr 2015 5:04 p.m. PST |
Perhaps one should refrain from appending attempted jokes to more serious matters. I thought it was quite funny. Anyway, it's not like Terrement hasn't been in the DH before. I doubt he's having an emotional breakdown over the DHing or the joke. |
Mute Bystander | 14 Apr 2015 6:10 a.m. PST |
Do the crime, do the time. Justified? Not my call, Bill's (who I have disagreed with (public and privately in the past.) His site. Deal with it. Someone complained, Bill judged. That is his role. It's a ownership appointment, no elections. Not a hanging offense, just the DH. |
Mute Bystander | 14 Apr 2015 6:11 a.m. PST |
"politely shaming" might be acceptable from an old school Quaker but otherwise it's an attack. |
Mute Bystander | 14 Apr 2015 6:12 a.m. PST |
"… Oh and now that I think about it could I get 40 free Terremant's so I can make a platoon ???" No, but you can probably get a Board for posting about it. |
Great War Ace | 14 Apr 2015 9:19 a.m. PST |
I got a "free Terrement" PM. He seemed well, if a tad bored…. |
Legion 4 | 14 Apr 2015 9:37 a.m. PST |
Me too … And Hopefully he will be released soon ! |
Legion 4 | 16 Apr 2015 9:04 a.m. PST |
Now let me get this right … it seems Terrement got DH'd while already being DH'd ? He was supposed to be release today !? |
jpattern2 | 16 Apr 2015 9:32 a.m. PST |
I guess someone read the topic and complained after he was already in the DH for the first offense. Or Bill just now got to the second complaint. |
Weasel | 16 Apr 2015 12:26 p.m. PST |
There's a tiny DH inside the regular DH. In the tiny one, they don't even give you a rock for entertainment. |
wyeayeman | 17 Apr 2015 2:10 a.m. PST |
i got out today and no one was waiting at the gate for me… |
ochoin | 17 Apr 2015 2:48 a.m. PST |
@wyeayeman I came to see JJ but I waved as you left in the ill-cut suit with the preposterous lapels The Man gave you. BTW can you do me a deal n a set of licence plates? |
Mute Bystander | 17 Apr 2015 5:00 a.m. PST |
It appears I received a PM from Terrement concerning this thread. I will read it after he is out. |
Legion 4 | 17 Apr 2015 6:33 a.m. PST |
I guess someone read the topic and complained after he was already in the DH for the first offense. Or Bill just now got to the second complaint.
Isn't that like double jeopardy ?!? The Editor(s) have 30 days to catch and Dawg House members.
Oh … well … Just when you think you're home free … they get ya ! I also have been contacted online by JJ … He's not really a happy camper … but when being DH'd, who is. I've been there a number of times. Once twice in one week ! Hang in there JJ ! FREE JJ !!!!! |
jpattern2 | 17 Apr 2015 10:40 a.m. PST |
Isn't that like double jeopardy ?!? Nope, they were two separate offenses, hence two separate sentences. Dawghouse sentences are served consecutively, not concurrently. He's not really a happy camper As someone said up-topic: Don't do the crime if you can't do the time. |
Legion 4 | 21 Apr 2015 9:59 a.m. PST |
I see … I'm going to have to pay more attention to those Law & Order reruns … |
jpattern2 | 21 Apr 2015 10:57 a.m. PST |
Just the Order part. |
Legion 4 | 22 Apr 2015 9:52 a.m. PST |
LOL ! With all the murders that go on in these cops shows. They are going to go to work one day and find out everybody in town is dead !!!! |
jpattern2 | 22 Apr 2015 11:18 a.m. PST |
Ain't THAT the truth! Someone once said the same thing about about Jessica Fletcher (Angela Lansbury) in Murder, She Wrote: No matter how small the town or village or hamlet, if she showed up, murder was sure to follow. Maybe everyone she sent up the river for murder had actually been FRAMED, and SHE HERSELF was, in fact, a SERIAL MURDERESS! |
