I've always found the landmarks in narratives of the fighting in Hue during Tet rather confusing so I've matched the buildings in aerial photographs and a 1/12500 period map to help me get my bearings. I've also tried to identify as many buildings as possible (e.g. 8 is the MCV Compound, 179 is the Provincial Prison). Actually, it's not that difficult with a good map with the buildings' shapes and good photos. I don't think I'll try to cover the Citadel though, that is a total mess. ;-) |
