A Good-Looking Army in a Reasonable Amount of Time

Painting a wargaming army is a completely different beast from painting a single miniature for display.

For the last few weeks or so, I've ( flashman14.blogspot.com ) been getting a ton of hits from Russia – sometimes a hundred a day. I do have a fair amount of 1812 stuff there but they are looking at everything.

Could it be there's a huge parallel Russian gaming hobby that is largely invisible to Western gamers?

What's the miniatures scene like in Russia – anybody know?

I have sometimes wondered about some of the regular apologists we seem to get on here…

Most likely they are robots. Happens all the time on the Internet.

There is a big russian search engine that hits my website with hundreds of hits at a time as it seems massively inefficient…

While not as bad as yours, my hits from Russia this month are much higher than normal, and probably not legit.

I do have a few "normal" hits every week coming out of Ukraine that resemble a living person perusing the blog.

There are Russian war gamers but not so many would read English. Could also have expats / temp ( like me) or long term who read. If one has a bad connection or restart numerous times it can male lots of hits artificially.

You also have stuff on re enactors and they have tons of them.

Otherwise can't see why bots site would be very interested in your site.

Would be more like it.

I have also noticed a huge spike in Blog visitor activity from Russia and Ukraine the past 2 weeks. Not a single inappropriate comment though, thankfully.

Also been getting a lot of traffic from Russia/Ukraine. If the links are followed (under "traffic sources")and so far are all for Hotels or Spas. If they are sending any sort of message;
1. I can´t read russian ..so a fail there
2. It makes a Change from the usual misspelt spam from firms trying to sell creams or powders meant to increase male member size or "hi!!, I´ve just unlocked this or that weapon on this or that Internet game"

Same here – big spike from Russia and Ukraine in the past couple of days. Most look to be from business pages; a couple could be from web-indexers.
