Just read about it. Dude may have wanted to see how good he was with scale modeling for film FX,according to one source.

We'll never know for sure, unless the 'real' picture shows up when they go through his estate.

There has been some questions regarding this photo ever since it surfaced. Now that the author of the photo has come out and said its a hoax, there's no question as to its veracity. As for the original photo resurfacing; well, the author himself says its long gone (along with the 'Kodak Paper' printing on the back).
