I am assembling a diorama from Tolkien's Middle Earth – Strider and the Hobbits leaving the village of Bree. I am using the Armies of Middle Earth figures. I have a very nice Inn from Table top World that I am using. I need a bunch of secondary figures I can use for villagers who line the street as they march out of town in front of the Prancing Pony Inn. The AOME figures are their own scale but I figure that 54mm secondary figures would do the job. Does anyone know of sources for villagers who would fit into this fantasy environment without looking too medieval? |

What do you mean "too medieval"? Tolkein's Middle Earth is very much medieval in character. |

good point – allow me to correct that …. what I meant was that I do NOT want a bunch of armored figures looking like they are storming a castle. I need average villagers in civilian attire. |

I need average villagers in civilian attire. Ah, that makes sense. |

Irregular makes a few figures that may be of use. Marx recast has a medieval accessory that that might have some useful items. Their Robin Hood set probably has a figure or two as well that you could use. |

Look for the Marx "Robin Hood" figures, if you don't mind some conversion, they should suit your needs. |

Try looking for figures in the educational "Toobz" from arts & crafts shops like "Michaels" or "Joanne's Fabrics." They make a set of Early American Colonists and Powhatan Native American Indians in about 1/32 scale that could work with a bit of re-paint and perhaps a few conversions. |

For some reason I can't modify my post…the above post should state "medieval accessory set." |
