Tried to open a bottle of paint and this happened.
Odd thing is that it's not stuck. I can still unscrew what's left of the cap. The cap just disintegrated on me! This ever happen to anyone else? |

Looks like the bottle may have been dropped and landed on the cap. |

I've had it happen on Foundry paint lids. Plastic just gets old and tired after awhile. |

Yes, I had it happen earlier this year for the first time. It was a bottle of Reaper Muddy Brown I'd had for several years. Grelber |

Yeah. Someone needs to learn to spell over at Reaper. :) |

In Reaper's defense, maybe they can't afford the real thing and they really are drinking the lower-priced knock-off "Burgandy." |

Do you keep them in direct sunlight? Could be photo degradation. I've also had Foundry lids and similar lids go fragile on me. I bought a 100 spare lids for replacing as necessary. |

Had it happen twice in the last six months. Mine were older bottles (at least five years old). Erik |
