Base kit by PSC with S&S Models ARV upgrade set.

Fatman12 Apr 2015 11:52 a.m. PST

As always excellent work, I didn't know that S&S did 15mm upgrade bits.

Very nice work as ever Piers, and a great idea from S&S. Fatman, the upgrade kits are a recent venture for S&S – I may resort to sacrifice in the hope they're tempted into the madness of doing a Churchill ARV Mk.II…. ;-)

Very nice Piers :) despite being in the 'devils scale' lol

Dom I have a 20+ virgin (nobody will have the little bar steward) available for the sacrifice. Hell I'll even pay to have him delivered. ;-)

Does anyone carry S&S in the States, or do I need to order direct?

And do they do AVRE conversion bits for Churchills, too?

Lion – direct only, and no Churchill yet. Battlefront do Churchill AVREs and ARV Mk.I though. I'm hoping someone will snap and do an ARV Mk.II some time….

PS – Thanks Fatman, but I think the Gods only count a sacrifice if they think you'll actually miss it…. ;-)

Very nice!

I think if the AVRE Mk II hull is the same as the one in the PSC box then its a distinct possibility. Shaun is working on an SBG, but I think the MKII looks an easier build, but please don't divert Shaun from my own 15mm Yom Kippur lobbying!

well piers has done it againanother great job.
so in answer to your questions about the new 15mm add on range.
we have the following made and moulded
Cromwell arv,
gb m4 arv mk1,
bergpazer 3,
berpanzer 4,

almost finished
churchill avre fittings,
Churchill avre sbg bridge,
Churchill avre towed sledge,
Churchill deep wading truncks,

the curchill arv's are a bit more of a problem in that the track guards are completely different front and rear to the std gun tanks, the reason why we have not done the 72 scale conversion kit as yet. as psc have chosen to mould the rtrack guards as a separate piece means it is easier to do but still more complex than the other 2 gb arv conversions.
we hope to release the 15mm conversions soon but wanted a few of them painted up hence the piers brand paint job.
he still has the bergpanzer 3 to paint up!
all orders direct from us, as we have no usa dealers as such.
any suggestions for simple 15mm add ons also welcome

Bergepanzer IV on the painting table at mo Shaun…

shaun from s and s models13 Apr 2015 6:07 a.m. PST

well piers, would you like the m4 arv and bergpanzer 3 add on as well then?
thanks

PiersBrand13 Apr 2015 7:33 a.m. PST

Lion in the Stars13 Apr 2015 12:31 p.m. PST

@Dom: thanks, guess I will be saving up my pennies for a bit longer!

Don't suppose I could twist someone's arm for a 15mm Flammpanzer 2 model/conversion pieces, could I?

I doubt it'd be worth doing as a conversion kit – as well as the flame turrets, new main turret, and smoke launchers, you've got modifications to the hull that would mean any kit would have to be specific to a particular model (realistically the Zvezda one, which isn't their finest effort) and the combination wouldn't be any cheaper than just buying the Flammpanzer II model that Battlefront do.

fingolfen14 Apr 2015 11:53 a.m. PST

When are the 15mm Bergepanzer going to be available? Saves my having to convert my own! :D

Lion in the Stars14 Apr 2015 3:02 p.m. PST

Huh, I'd missed that BF made a Flamm Pz2.

OK, disregard that request!

shaun from s and s models15 Apr 2015 3:09 a.m. PST

I have now finished the Churchill avre sbg bits and the mould is now cooking, so we can release quite a range of 15mm add on kits.
we hope to release them quite soon along with the 2 german bergpanzers and the various gb arv's.
I am hoping to do an m32 arv at some point as well.
pics soon.
thanks
shaun
