I have the full dress Front Rank figures. I want to paint them as Voltigers. The Mont St. Jean website has their trousers as being white, but weren't Voltigers trousers blue? If someone with more knowledge could inform me it, would be greatly appreciated. |

The Leger (light infantry) Regiments voltigeurs Trousers were blue, The line regiments voltigeurs would have white. Remember though, there were variations of colours used on campaign; some with a coloured stripe or even vandyking down the outer seam. But if you want them in full dress, it should be as outlined above |

That's what I thought as well, however as I said. link Mont St. Jean plates are white? Seems odd they would get it wrong? |

On campaign "overalls" were a common alternative to the full dress trousers and gaiters. These could be of many colours, brown was common in Spain because of the colour wool of the Spanish sheep. Blue, grey and white were also common and the chaotic swiftness of reorganising the Young Guard in 1815 it is not really a surprise that they would take the field in non-regulation dress. They would've be lucky to have uniform coloured trousers! |

the Bardin regulations (1812) specifies both light and line infantry trousers in white. the Guard regulations specified, I think, blue trousers in winter and white in summer. so as Glengarry5 said, have a mix – with maybe white the dominant colour? |
