link Apparently there will be two versions of the game. As of today we can now officially share with you more details about the launch of Terminator Genisys: The Miniatures Game. Warlord Games is the exclusive distributor of The War Against the Machine, a skirmish miniatures game designed and produced by Alessio Cavatore's River Horse Games, based on the upcoming Terminator Genisys movie by Paramount and Skydance Productions.Terminator Genisys: The War Against the Machines features 31 stunning plastic miniatures designed to be ready for action in minutes. No glue is required, thanks to their push-fit design, and they come in two clear different plastic colour (metallic grey for the Terminators and army green for the Resistance) to make sure you recognise your forces easily amidst the fog of war. As a bonus, The War Against the Machines includes a superbly sculpted metal Kyle Reese character to join the Resistance fighters, providing them with special command abilities and heroic traits, Kyle Reese is a perfect to lead the brave Resistance soldiers against the endoskeletons.
Terminator Genisys: The War Against the Machines includes a 128 pages rulebook that allows you to explore every game possibility; starting from the contents of the box but allowing you to expand with the upcoming range of heroes, commanders, troop types and vehicles expected during the year ahead. In case you're wondering who River Horse Games games is, I found out on their web site: "River Horse has designed the [Bolt Action] game system. As well as writing the rulebook, River Horse is also managing the writing of all supplement books (commissioning them, editing them and developing their contents). Finally, River Horse is providing articles, additional rules and other written support material for the game." And similar for Dust, Fantacide and some others. |

Looking at the bottom picture I am seeing the same missile launcher guy four times…. so the resistance are probably four poses per sprue? |

In that huge blurb, there are a total of three lines about the game system. If this symbolizes where their priorities lie, I'll be skipping this one. There are plenty of not-terminator and post-apoc human figs out there already. |

I've seen posters for the "basic" version, and the T-800 sprues both posted elsewhere via FB. I wasn't impressed by the Resistance Fighter shown painted with a built/painted T-800 on the page's article, and the $75 USD price tag for the "basic" version turned me off even more… the same price and mini design quality of Mongoose Games' plastic Starship Troopers box, with less stuff in it… I may get a box or two of the T-800s when they come out this summer, and the aerial H-Ks if they are released, but will likely pass on the boxed games, unless I find a REALLY good trade deal… Poster/Sprue/painted minis shown on Beasts of War and/or Bell of Lost Souls, maybe Spiky Bits blog… |

Resistance fighter close-ups have been taken from a non-flattering angle, making their heads look oversized but from the side, they seem to fairly reasonably proportioned. A bit surprised to see them in the green, would've expected full digi job by this day and age. Anyhow, not bad. Might consider getting a set of those if they come out as a separate set. |
