If anyone has pledged on a Oathsworn KickStarter project (and I have for 5 so far) then they'll know just how great they are. To start with the figures they are brilliantly sculpted, full of character, highly detailed, dynamically posed and extremely well produced. However fulfilment iS just as good, on-time completion (early actually), awesome backers, well packaged deliveries, great customer service. Oathsworn is a start-up, and it is still at the home-industry phase (though I predict they will end up big). They've lots of experience in sculpting for others; but are now creating their own designs. They are a real pleasure to back, just how KickStarters should be. As for this KickStarter, it is for twenty anthropomorphic fantasy figures ranging from a 18mm shrew to a 46mm badger. Mostly these are "fighters", though there are some stealthy types and even a preacher…
If you like the figures, then in my own opinion, there is almost no risk :-) |

Not a size i buy now. Some of them are excellent sculpts but others inspire "Meh" in me. |

Yes, if you are into 15-18mm then these would be rather on the large size. Personally, I am not sure I would want to mix these with humans anyway. Using them for their own game makes sense to me. If you are a fan of the Redwall series of books, Mouseguard, Mice and Mystics, Wind in the willows, or Disney's Robin Hood or are just a fan of miniatures or great sculpting you owe it to yourself to check this project out: link ;-) |

The latest addition is a shamanic toad (27mm high). I wasn't expecting to like the toad – but it has swiftly rocketed in to my top 5. I love the minimalist equipment, the detail of the skin, the femur club/stave, but particularly the engaging expression…

Currently my favourite figure is a bad guy: the weasel. A menacing 28mm of thuggery ;-)
In fact, overall, I think the Vermin are shaping up to be my favourite of the two "sides" :-) But, I've always had a soft-spot for rogues. |

Just to prove they are of different sizes, but the same high quality, here is the Hedge Knight standing a mere 20mm high.
He is a Goodbeast despite the skull shield motif. |

And to balance up the Goodbeasts with a matching vermin, here is the 37mm vixen archer…
A matching male fox is in the works… |

Whilst we wait (or at least I do) for the fox, here are the next two figure sculpts that have been released… The wildcat
and the lizard
These vermin are shaping up to be a really nasty, and totally great, bunch of thugs :-) Check out the KickStarter:- link |

I could see Bassk uz'Drasst be used a traditional lizardman in a FRPG or fantasy wargame. Given a bit of support, Oathsworn could be convinced to release an army of them… Well a few more anyway ;-) |
