Dan Verssen Games (DVG) is running a Kickstarter campaign for Valkyrie – The Next Step in Warfare, their new miniatures board game. Players control either the US or Russian forces against one-another on a hex-based board. Or you can play solo or as a team against the game's AI. Forces contain the expected tanks and support vehicles, but there's also the Valkyries, walking mechs that bring massive firepower to the battlefield. The campaign is coming up to 1/3 funded and is set to run for another 28 days.

Nice 'Battletech' style mechas, but to me "Valkyrie" means Macross. |

Nice 'Battletech' style mechas, but to me "Valkyrie" means Macross. Agreed. Alternately, I thought it might be a new type of fighter, being that the mythical valkyries rode flying horses. |

Agreed, especially since there's a Robotech game out there right now that has Valkyries as their main unit. Still, I like DVG's concept. |
