Not the best brushwork but quantity has a quality all it's own. Most of the dioramas I have seen in museums have pretty crude paint jobs, at least compared to what we in the hobby are used to. |

That's great BB. I visited the RGJ museum expressly to photograph that diorama, about a year ago. It had some new/repainted (?) figures on it (a museum guide pointed out a pristine Blücher figure), but much of it was quite dusty. I wonder if the Thatchers (the conservators) were already working on it at that point? Have a look at my pics if you're interested in seeing what I guess was the 'before' state: RGJ Waterloo diorama – pre refurb? I'll have to revisit it I think! |
