Okay, folks, a challenge in the sand – or the prairie grass.

List, with a modest amount of detail, a scenario you can do with old west figures, including cowboys, gun hands, indians, civilians, trains, wagons, cattle, etcetera.

There is just one rule – you are a low down, varminty, skunk of a liar if you repeat a scenario already put forth in this thread! Which means you actually have to read the scenarios already posted. Or not – and live with the ignominy.

I'll start.
-----
A group of down on their luck cowpokes are wending their way across the landscape when they hear the lowing of quite a few cattle. They find them in a draw below them being tended by what appear to be mostly some greenhorn cow punchers with a couple of seasoned men keeping the outfit together. The cowpokes decide to wait for the sun to get low on the horizon before striking – their intent is to use stealth to knock out the one or two night guards and then get the cattle going while leaving a couple of the best marksman to scare of the rest of the outfit while they get away with the stolen herd.
-----

That's actually more detail than is needed to qualify. The goal is to see just how many varied scenarios can be put forth. I believe the Old West lends itself to a greater variety of scenarios than perhaps any other historical period. So, join in. But, remember, no repeats.
