Ok, I missed Dark Future way back in the day. I also missed when GW had the free rules pdf online.

Le sigh.

Does anyone have the pdf downloaded where they can fire me a copy?

Also, out of curiosity, does anyone actually have a copy of the game gathering dust that you might be interested in trading for?

I could set you up with a massive space fleet or 15mm sci fi or something from my vast holdings of game stuff.

If anyone else is interested in making a deal still ping me!

So it looks like the game is "matchbox" scale which maps pretty well to 15mm for tabletop. Need to pick up more vehicles (motorcycles in particular)

The figures were closer to true 20mm. The few motorcycles I've seen were really good. Wish I'd looked for the rules when GDW used to publish free pdfs of defunct rules, but it never occurred to me that Dark Future would be included. So I also don't have a copy. I have figures and few motorcycles from buying them off eBay several years ago. I use them for gangs when playing Two Hour Wargame rules. You may still be able to pick up a pack or so on eBay if you are willing to be patient and search for them for several weeks.

Warlock, as you know we are of the same mind, I bought a copy on ebay some time ago so whenever you are ready to play let me know. I'll read the rules and join you!

I found a website that everything about a year or two ago. It had the rules, all the supplements and even roads that you could print off and mount on something. I had a quick look last night, but couldn't find it again.

Try dropbox for large file transfers, free and easy to use.

I wish there was a latter day source of the miniatures somewhere.

Only Warlock06 Apr 2015 1:25 p.m. PST

I now have the color pdf in all it's Mad Maxist glory!

Only Warlock06 Apr 2015 1:27 p.m. PST

Walt, they are the same scale as Matchbox cars so at least it's adaptable.

There were only two body types, but strong suggestions to use the weapons, plenty of extras with the boxes, to weaponize Matchbox/Hot Wheels.

I will someday break down and sell my small pile of same, but not rushing to do so.

Partially as my group may decide to give Outrider a try again.

Stan Johanson Miniatures sells has a line of weapons, parts, and figures for converting Matchbox cars into post-apocalyptic war machines. They are nice and should work well.

McWong7307 Apr 2015 5:15 p.m. PST

I really wanted the game in my teens, and eventually picked up a copy + minis for a great price on ebay. Once I finally had them, found it didn't grab me all that much so sold them on. Wish I had kept the models.
