I've just dug the Epic 40K rules out of the attic that I got years ago in a charity shop and never looked at. I like the look of these -they seem pretty simple, which i like!! I know at lot of people say Epic Armageddon is better and I have that book too but I don't want too much chrome at the moment. What I do want to know however is how to use Imperial Knights and their Eldar counterparts. Any advice on rules -I know they're out there but I haven't found them yet. Thanks |

Epic 40K never officially had knights. They were in an old issue of the Citadel Journal and you can probably find fan rules out there as well. |

I could probably cobble some rules together if I make them vehicles rather than war engines. |

THe Citadel Journal ones were just reasonably fast, tough vehicles, from my memory. They may have had a saving throw. If you look at the ork stompas, you can extrapolate from there and do just fine. |

Net Epic is free and it contains rules for knights I believe. |

The Imperial and Eldar Knights had rules listed in White Dwarf for Space Marine including templates, and were included in the Titan Legions game that followed on from Space Marine. I'll see what info what I can dig out of my collection of White Dwarf's tomorrow. |

If it's any help the rules for Knight Households in Space Marine/Titan Legions were in issue 182 of White Dwarf. You should be able to extrapolate something from that with the Epic 40K rules,or as Blacksmith suggests Net Epic has it covered. :-) |

If you're interested in Epic Armageddon, which was the most recent version of the rules, I think there's a 'Knight World' list here: PDF link -Will |

Firepower Mag 1 had rules for Imperial Knights in E40K, page6. Only two classes were recognised: Knight Spd 25, Rng 45, FP2, Ass4, Arm5, Save. 28pts. Castellan Spd 20, Rng 45, FP4, Ass3, Arm5, Save. 38 pts. Nothing was done for Eldar as far as I'm aware. |

I wouldn't say EA added chrome over E40k, more that it removed much of E40k's abstraction. That Knight list has been supercede by the one we got approved this year. All the NetEA stuff is up here: tp.net-armageddon.org |

Thanks for all the assistance! I've started nosing through my Epic A book now as well. Looking on Ebay (wallet alert) it seems that there is a lot of expensive Buy it now stuff but every now and again it occurs to someone that no one is actually buying it and the price goes down, or is this just a fantasy? However Titans seem to go for good money and this whole project nearly foundered when I considered just putting my 5 Reavers, a Warlord and a Phantom up for sale but you see they are just such great models and I had to keep them. I did find this link |

I think the general consensus is for non-titan stuff, find currently produced substitute tanks and infantry from other 6mm providers :) |
Legion 4 | 07 Apr 2015 12:25 p.m. PST |
Yep … and there are a bunch of 6mm Sci-fi model makers currently on the market … with many more models to come ! |

Troublemaker and Onslaught seem to be leading the field here. Sooner or later some Chaos marine proxies will show up. I received two Tempest grav tanks in the post today from a chap in Munich who lives on Saint Privat Str- my main wargame armies are Franco Prussian War you see so this made my smile. |

Yes, TMG and Onslaught make great 6mm stuff ! But also add DRM, Steel Crown/Exodus Wars, PFC/CinC SEM line, Microworld, GZG, Darkest Star, Old Crow, Command Horizon, and Plasmablast … off the top of my head. You can find most of those suppliers on the Tac Cmd website I posted previously. |
