A bit of a blog rant about this company:

I use to get at least 1 order a year from them (last year this time was last). skipped it this year mostly because of comments on TMP. It is a shame they should have what I need.

OldGlory15 = Warweb?

Did not know that….

I am very sorry to read about these problems.
I casually know the guys who own 19th Century. While I had not dealt with them in several years, there were no better people to deal with than they were.

Also, they were a lot of fun.

I just ordered from them Yesterday. I'll post the response time

I called Old Glory on a outstanding order from WarWeb. The people there where wonderful and shipped my order out in 1 day. I would not order from the warweb as I got burned. Old Glory will be more than happy to send you the items instead. Just a word of warning……

Funny, I just received my order from WarWeb that I made in early January. So they are shipping orders out but its taking around 3 months.

I guess I'm still confused about these firms. I know OG 25s is not related. But all the rest, are they the same company? I was thinking about ordering from 19thC Miniatures for some of their ECW Scots.

I do not know if it is true, but I have been told that 19th Century Miniatures acquired WarWeb but subsequently sold it.

Again, I do not know if this is true.

Tom, as far as I know that is not the case…they still own the WarWeb portion.

From what I gather Old Glory 15s, 19th Century Miniatures, and WarWeb are the same folks. I know that 19th bought WarWeb from a gaming buddy of mine, and I think they also take care of OG15s. Shame they do not seem to care about the beating they take on a regular basis here on TMP.

Thanks for your link. And helps explain some of the frustration many of us have. I ordered from WarWeb for seems like ages. But soon after the sale customer service and response to orders took a nose dive. I remember they attempted to address that at one point by hiring at least one person to do just customer service. Unfortunately the improvement was short lived.

As to the previous incarnation I will second used to be simply outstanding service. One small personal experience. I had placed an order, promptly sent. When going through a bag of infantry figures I found a few, and I stress a few, were not fully cast. I wrote just to make them aware of the situation. Got a very nice email back and thought it was the end of it. A few days later what arrives but an entire new bag of figures, not just a few replacements!

They are all the same company. I have placed duplicate orders with them with varied results. Sometimes getting part of what I order sometimes with figures I did not order. They need to keep products in stock. I can't think of an issue I had with the previous owners. Never had to wait more than a couple of weeks for my order. I receive products from overseas faster than I do from WarWeb.

Shadowcat2008 Apr 2015 12:52 p.m. PST

My 2013 order took 4 months to get correct, my November 2014 order from War web is still outstanding 5 months later. I think I am done with them after I get this one. Good prices but poor customer service and unacceptable shipping times.

goragrad13 Apr 2015 11:20 p.m. PST

As noted on the prior OG15 thread I received a package from them Friday. I had spoken on the phone with them the last Friday in March on the matter and was told the order would go to the casters the following Monday. Not too bad.

There was a miscount on some spare horses I ordered and I left them a message on Friday. Will see how that turns out.

Just a quick update on Old Glory 15s/19th Century…
I ordered medium sized order of ancients from them on 3/20/15.

After 3 weeks I gave them a call concerning my order. They responded apologetically saying that they were behind on their casting and my order would be ready in under two weeks.
They had a casting machine down early this year that put them behind.

As promised I received my full order last Monday, slightly over 4 weeks from ordering.

So, the side manufacturing side seems to be recovering and shipping.

Almost 6 months and still waiting, 3 months since they offered a refund. Done with em but riding it out to see where it goes. BBB will be the next step.
Unacceptable behavior and delivery times.

HandLCreator02 May 2015 1:53 p.m. PST

I don't know… I have been waiting about month now and no response on email and phone just rings. Admittedly, this is my first problem.

Shadowcat2010 May 2015 2:21 p.m. PST

Stick a fork in him…I think he is done. If I ever get a response/refund/order from him after 6 months I am calling it quits. This goes far beyond "production problems' Or "Order issues" and falls squarely in the realm of bad business practices. At this point all I have to say is be warned and deal with at your own risk.

HandLCreator14 May 2015 9:42 p.m. PST

Okay, to be fair, my shipment arrived this week. I feel better.
