Awesome, thanks!! Re-posted over at Gears & Guts: link

Btw, did you see the "April Fool's" game the Warthunder MMO guys from Gaijin did? Weird War 2 Combat mechs!! Too bad at present it was just a one-day thing, I'd love more of it!

WOW! Thank you for the link.

Yeah, I spotted it on 4chan. The best part is the fake development history, even if the syntax is wonky and there are some obvious mistakes (like the picture at the top of the article is obviously mid-war, given the officer's shoulder tabs)

Yeah, pretty clever April Fools stunt for a Russian-led development and marketing team! Looks like a lot of folks on their forums are requesting they keep this as a special battle event. I wish we could get the 1/56th scale kit projects going again and add these to the mix.

I'd rather have the G-27s and D-1s out on the market.

Me too, but it was fun to play a stompy WW2 mech, climbing up rubble piles and collapsed buildings and acting like a big infantry unit to shoot over walls and turn other tanks and mechs into smoking wrecks.
