1. Is there a source for saga battle boards for European feudals, 11th-13th century French, English, Burgundian, Swiss, Etc?
2. Has any one tried larger units for point values? ( 18 for levy, 12 for soldiers, 6 for elite?
3. Do you think this would "reduce or adversely effect the warlords power and effluence? Or- maybe give him 6 battle dice instead of 5?
4. Norman horse with round shield? Suitable? Or use fie cepetian Franks?
I am very very new to this period but have always wanted something like this since playing "chain mail" with airfix sheriff of Nottingham, Robin Hood, and ancient britains….. I could not afford elastolin when I was 12.

'Effluence'? I hope you mean 'Influence', or it's a whole level of realism I don't want in a game.

Influence , spell check is hard to suffer thru sometimes

Effluence would be very medieval, though: 'How do you know he's a king?'…

Why would you want to get more figures for a given point value?. Just play with more points if you want larger games.
The number of figures a point buys you (4 guards, 8 warriors, 12 levies) doesn't determine the size of the units. You spend points on the figures, then you organise them into units of 4-12 figures.
If you want more powerful Warlords, use some of the Heroes of the Viking age.

Have you actually played Saga? Your questions suggest not.

I'm just getting into in, but yes, I see the 8 and 12 point option, then shuffle your men around to form 12 man units. My question for larger battles I see, but my main concern was regarding cepetian Franks, Norman horse with round embossed shield or is that a nogo. And I have been to the forums but can't seem to see boards for continental European feudals,
