"We tried a 180 point game with a slight modification of the starter fleets listed here. The random mission we pulled was really interesting: Advanced Gunnery. The Imperials had slightly fewer points and so were the first player. The objective ships were the Victory II and the Nebulon B Escort Frigate. We're still playing on a 3'x3'."

Thanks for posting. I like the painting on your fighters.

We played a point value game using the starter set too, but decided not to bring commanders as the Imperial one just seemed to expensive for only affecting one ship! Can't wait to get more stuff and play a proper game.

Looks great, would it be possible to post a closer up picture of the painted TIEs? They look pretty sharp. Also, any tips on creating the lazer bolt effect, it's awesome.

Thanks guys! I'll be posting a tutorial on painting the TIEs that has a clear up-close and personal pic.

They're ugly up close, but they get the job done!

They're ugly up close,…

I thought that's why we love them!

Oh, you mean the models… ;->=

Did open the box, so I understand Indie's comment, but haven't cracked the card wraps. Do you think this will make more sense when the really big ships roll out?

I didn't make the Tarkin comment, but having now played 300pt games- Tarkin's ability is very very nice. He is probably appropriately costed, even with 2 Victory SDs.

I didn't make the Tarkin comment,…

Sorry!

Still, given my respect for Tim, it's hardly a uncomplimentary mistake. ;->=

And, people whom I admire often disagree with me. It's practically a requirement.

Doug,

Hey thanks! I think Tarkin will be brilliant with a couple ships or more. Just in a small gave its hard to justify spending 38 pts on your admiral!
