From the Hot Lead 2015 annual wargaming convention: fighting at Gallipoli between the ANZACs and their Turkish foes presented in 1/72 plastic by Mike Manning.
The Turks counterattack across no man's land and when their artillery cuts down enough of the ANZACs barbed-wire, they make headway on their right flank.
The Turks first take out a machine-gun nest, then the first line of trenches on their right. Some headway is made on the left but only through attrition.
From their foothold in the first trench, they take the second while causing more casualties on their left.
From there the Turks move into the ANZACs rear area taking out a gun position while on their left flank they finally succeed in breaking through to take trenches on that flank of the field but at a terrible cost to themselves.
So will any of you Australians or New Zealanders be putting on a Vimy Ridge game at one of your conventions? Turnabout is fair play after all. :)
