For a skirmish game, say up to platoon scale or so, do you prefer that infantry and vehicle rules are in separate sections or do you prefer that each rules section (movement, firing etc.) includes both elements? |

I prefer them separate, but that's probably because I haven't seen rules that combine infantry and vehicle in the same section. |

I would have thought they would need there own section. Tanks do diffrent things like turn turrets, travel at different speeds and have other move limitations not applicable to infantry, like bogging down which are not realy appliable to infantry. |

Most systems seem to have different rules for each, so two sections. The advantage being that the infantry rules can be learned first and then after a few games, the vehicles can be brought in. Some games like Conflict of Heroes use very similar mechanics for both infantry and armour and so assimilation of the armour rules are quite easy. |

A unanimous thread on TMP? Unprecedented :) |

As tempting as it is to disagree now, I won't… separate sections. |

Sorry to break the streak, but I'd prefer them in the same section as I greatly prefer them to use the same rules mechanics. |

Honestly, a military vehicle should be immune or very nearly so to any small-arms. But that can be done using the same combat rules as infantry, the original Rogue Trader had vehicles with an Infantry statline and Infinity also has vehicles with an infantry statline. I think I prefer separate sections for infantry firefight and shooting at vehicles at the platoon-per-side level or higher, though. |

I suppose it makes sense that if both basically use the same mechanics (or very close to them), they can just be squished together for simplicity. |

They are parallel, but separate in my rules ( link )! |
