Started a new French platoon with Platoon Forward and decided I wanted them to attack. AAR found here: platoonforward.blogspot.com Scenario suitable for any tactical rules.

Enjoy

Joe

Joe,

What a fight, thanks for posting! I like your new platoon, hope to see more of them. I hope to start a company-level campaign in France shortly.

If I recall, you're a fan of Troops, Weapons, and Tactics; is that what you used here?

Take Care.

V/R,
Jack

It feels like a TW&T battle but I could be wrong. Great looking battle and always nice to see the French in action.

Now that is a part of WWII that is almost never gamed – good looking battle!

Nicely done.

Of course I just noticed the rules (Lazy TW&T) were listed right up front. Sorry Joe…

Nice job, Joe. And I did enjoy it.

Joe Legan31 Mar 2015 5:59 p.m. PST

Thanks everyone! Glad you enjoyed it.
Jack,

Lazy TW&T is my modification to Troops Weapons and Tactics. Basically it combind Sharp's Practice with TW&T. Rich was nice enough to say it inspired Mud and Blood. That combat system is what is used in Chain of Command. (My brush with glory I suppose) Lazy TW&T was published in the Lardie specials.
I do love playing French and with them on the attack is different than most people think. Maybe place your company in the Saar?

Thanks again everyone.

Joe

I do like the Mud&Blood firing rules better than the TW&T ones. Do you remember which special it was in?

Joe,

My campaign is following a German Kampfgruppe, and they'll be attached to the 7th Panzer Division for France.

Weasel,

I always hated the firing table in TW&T. The main rules were in the Christmas 08 special. Armor was added in summer 09 and some experimental rules were added Christmas 09. The specials always have a lot of great stuff in them.

Jack,

IF you are doing a Kampfgruppe you have to do France 1940. How about taking a French unit into the Saar 1939?

Thanks

Joe
