At the end of The Snake Woman – see my write-up here – Scotland Yard destroys all evidence of the case, so the politicians never learn of it. But what if the British Empire did begin experimenting with reptile venom-enhanced children on the eve of WWI? You can imagine the project funded for WWI, then… mothballed? defunded? continued on a meager budget? By the time the children are grown, they would be ready for service in WWII! |

Aside from the overall scientific issues, there are some practical issues as well. How does one raise the children to 'love' the British Empire? Could some of them turn bad and perhaps go over to the Nazies? I can see some real Pulp and Weird War 2 potential. |

Awesome idea! And… why WOULDN'T they love the British Empire? The British Aristocracy have been dominated by reptilian bloodlines for centuries. Everybody knows that. Conspiracy 101, that is. link link The Annunaki have long been the puppet-masters of the Empire… now, they have found the perfect foot-soldiers! Besides, the Nazis get all the pulp pseudo-science memes: mechs, Hitler clones, Zombies, Spears of Destiny, saucers and moonbases. Refreshing to have a Weird War II trope WITHOUT a swastika on it! |
