The first element of my LR retinue has finally taken shape:
Experimenting with water effects. More discussion is in the blog post below, but I've not got the technique for for containing the liquid resin on an unlipped base quite right yet. Need to work out a way to minimise the capillary effect of the resin. Any ideas, I'm using Javis Scenics water effect… link |

It makes sure the leader is obvious amongst a unit of six effectively identical miniatures. |

Place a string of glue in a rough circle somewhere on the base. Place some sand or other material to form a small depression so that the water effect will hold in place. Phil |

On flat bases, build a little around area where you want the puddle to be… then just paint green in different hues and use glass varnish after all matting down is done on the miniature.
