Pictures from a great day of DBA gaming.

What version?

Lions Den30 Mar 2015 8:52 a.m. PST

2.2 Book I and II armies.

MajorB30 Mar 2015 10:28 a.m. PST

Any plans to move to 3.0?

aynsley68330 Mar 2015 4:32 p.m. PST

Why, would you attend if they did?

Lions Den30 Mar 2015 6:40 p.m. PST

NO not really.

Bit difficult. There's a rather large pond in the way …

NO not really.

Any particular reason why not?

We play 2.2 and like it a lot.

Lions Den31 Mar 2015 7:00 a.m. PST

2.2 is the Holy Grail of wargames rules. It is perfect in all ways.

Pretty easy to figure out how to play.

It is challenging and fun with a variety of armies.

Approachable scale for collecting an army that is "complete" when painted and based as playable by the rules.

A perfect system for trying other armies and if time/wallet/interest require you can collect as much as you want.

All good points and I would say all of them are equally applicable to DBA 3.0.
Have you tried DBA 3.0 at all?
I'm just curious as to your reasons for sticking to 2.2

Lions Den31 Mar 2015 10:29 a.m. PST

Yes we have tried DBA 3.0. It is interesting.

My reason for not switching is that DBA is not my only wargame. I play a lot of things. Time/wallet/interest again is contributing to me not having a copy of 3.0. Maybe someday.

Currently really enjoying 2.2 and not into the fad of the new. I don't play tournaments much and am limited to what is available locally (my house) to regionally (Recruits convention, Mike's house and Omaha, NB)

I have played DBA since the first edition.
I have 6 armies from 1st ed for the 1066 campaign
4 armies for Alexandrian Imperial 2.2ed.
3 armies for Feudal Europe 2.2

Looking around on the net and this is hard to even buy right now.
