Today is the 371st anniversary of the Battle of Cheriton. The result of which altered all the King's schemes as from that moment he shifted from an offensive to a defensive strategy. Whether for King or Parliament, a toast to all those actors who that day played their part upon the stage south of Alresford, Hampshire. |
