Today is the 371st anniversary of the Battle of Cheriton. The result of which altered all the King's schemes as from that moment he shifted from an offensive to a defensive strategy.

Whether for King or Parliament, a toast to all those actors who that day played their part upon the stage south of Alresford, Hampshire. guinness

Cap'n:

Cheers on you for the observance, a decisive battle of the war, pity my Lord Hopton. I was away from internet connection over the weekend.

Had hoped to return to the Alresford area this anniversary, mayhaps next.

Cheers… guinnessguinness

Cheriton, you'll be back there before you know it but later than you want to be. Have a drink on me when you do. All the best thumbs up
