The WasteMan Kickstarter link has a pledge level for one of everything, the Easy Rider reward level.
(…and that picture doesn't actually include everything you'll get when it funds) This is magnificent value, even if you are not interested in the game (and I don't know why you would not be interested in the game). For UK backers the rewards equate to at least £425.00 GBP at the Kickstarter prices (and probably more than (this is a guess on my part) £475.00 GBP at RRP – a saving of over £200.00 GBP). The figures are showcased in 3D in the KS video: link And there is a PDF which explains the game's concepts: link (The WasteMan Survival Guide) Check it out. I am sure you will find something of value; and perhaps you will join me in a Easy Rider pledge. :-) |

I started to read it, then saw that the figures were 35mm. It makes the figures useless for anything but this game. Pass. |

Yes, this is nominally 35mm. If that is important to you, then you are right not to back :-) Wouldn't want anyone to back under false pretensions. However, though the RadTown figures are large against my old 25mm sci-fi; they fit in okay with my larger 28mm stuff. I believe that figures, especially for skirmish games, is heading towards 32/35mm scale anyway. YMMV I also believe there is a lot of really good stuff here which is scale agnostic – the robots, the beasts, and many of the mutant human figures. Some of these could be used for any scale from 18mm to 40mm. So I will be using some of this with my old 25mm figures. The bottom line is that I am buying in to this KickStarter for the game; and I hope others will do… well more than hope, another 160 people have backed so far :-) |

There are two KickStarter exclusive figures that are added to all the game pledges for free (but not the £8.00 GBP single figure pledge). You can also add extras of each figure for a cost – very useful if you want to split a larger pledge, like Easy Rider, between two or more people (so everyone can have an exclusive figure). The first figure is the Radical Trevor:-
The recently released LOWbot is the second free add-on:-

Looks great – but the 35mm thing puts me off as well. Best of luck with it though. |

Thanks 20thMaine :-) A recently added figure is the Abyzmaloid of definitely alien persuasion. I could see him working well with smaller scale figures:-
And at £4.00 GBP a pretty good bargain too :-) |

The Abyzmaloid is from the Lunar Coalation. Another figure from the same group is the Mediator (a £6.00 GBP add-on):-

How can one resist Mutants, Robots, and Behemoths? That is what was going through my mind. I decided to jump all in with the Easy Rider pledge for WasteMan. It's a great value for the money and you get a ton of fun models with it plus rules and tokens. I'm a huge Fallout fan and WasteMan has that campy, fun appeal which drew my attention. Besides I really love the retro look of the minis. Reminds me of the old days when everything was lead! Aside form that I prefer skirmish level games to massive, over the top armies, so this is right up my alley. As for scale this definitely leans towards the heroic side of things, but I don't think from the comparisons I have seen the figures look too big. PugPaints did a great video showing the quality and size of ThunderChild miniatures and they look pretty good to me. You can check it out here: YouTube link Another thing that really caught my attention on this one is the fact that one person is doing it. For me that is really a big seller as so many projects are driven by big companies. I'm always happy to help out the underdog when I can. I hope others will join in and make this one a success too. I think it will be a pretty fun game and who wouldn't want a Rad-Dragon? |

Here is the latest freebe add-on stretchgoal:-
As an alien bounty hunter (s)he is effectively scaleless ;-) |

35mm is just a tough sell with all the 28's out there. A couple of the monsters like Rad Dragon and Bugfoot have really grown on me. To bad there wasn't a Big Guy Perk that avoided the minimum twelve dollar add on perk. 60$ for a single monster is to much for me. |

Really loving the stlye and vision of wasteman, makes a nice change to have something differant the sci-fi genre rather than the usual armoured space marine types. The radtown line all ready produced by tcminiatures.co.uk are excellent, I really hope this line of wasteman funds. Its in its last 48hrs with good momentum |

An interesting write-up on Beasts of War: link "The look of the game might not be for everyone but the charming style and British ‘craziness' that oozes out of the campaign makes this one to take notice of … Don't forget the absolutely MASSIVE beasts coming your way too!" |

Of course if you are after a large beastie, try CAD2112's suggested Rad-Dragon. At 120mm (~5") high it will definitely stand out on the tabletop.
The campaign is coming towards its end – so why don't you check it out? link |

The first two post-funding stretch goals have unlocked. They are an add-on "The Mawmen" and a free "Bagman" figure for all Brawl+ pledges :-) |
