So when I was in Oak Park I bought a bunch of trees for 15mm but never got them out of the boxes – had to move unexpectedly! But I have the Spring Cleaning bug and dug them up and have been working on basing them the past day or three…

In the background are a forest of bases that have been spray painted and need flocking…

Must be the season.
I have about 80 trees for 15-25mm I'm basing and another 200 for micro armor in the wings.

Very nice--I'm following these threads closely.

These look very nice! Also I dig your expansive, well-lit workshop area.

Mmm. Makes the additional 10 trees I've just done seem a bit pathetic…

I see yours are shedding foliage as rapidly as mine were. As soon as I had them glued to sturdy bases I hit them with matt varnish and they seem to have retained their greenery a bit better since.

I'm going to use scenic cement. You always get lots of loose foliage right out of the package.

Just ordered another 80 trees in different styles too.

Crispy, Scenic Cement is not as good as Matte Medium when it come to holding foliage on trees. Scenic Cement is okay for groundwork, but I would not use it on trees.

Use 80% Matte Medium, 20% distilled water and a drop of dishwashing liquid as your mix. I use the tiny spray bottles that come in Woodlands Scenics school project terrain kits to spray it on.

Modge Podge MM is cheaper, but I prefer Liquatex Matte Medium, which I have found to be superior to any other brand.
