Hello !

I'm being curious about those two rules that seems to have similar themes, "generic fantasy, simple, fast playing, well suited to small scales".

So, to those who have played them or who knows them, Am I correct in my first opinion ? I haven't seen much reviews about either, so i'm here. Can you tell me more about them ?

Thanks !

Hi,
I haven't heard of the first one and I'm still waiting to see a review of Warbands.
Leon's usually pretty active on various fora so I hope he can provide some pointers soon.

There's a lot of discussion on the Pendraken forum
link

Thanks, I hadn't seen this thread. I'm going to read it now !

Search for mayhem on the forums here. There are some good reviews that have been posted in the past.

As well as the Warband section that Buff's linked to above, there's a specific Reviews thread that we're updating as we get more batreps, etc coming back to us: link

Give us a shout if there's anything else I can help with, and feel free to come over and join our Forum. The author is on there as well, so he can answer any specific queries on the rules.

Now I get it.

Originally I was thinking this – link for "Warband" but it is not.

I have read Mayhem (might, actually pretty sure, have a copy) and while I don't play it I believe it is a decent generic fantasy set of rules just not my interest.

Here are a few Mayhem battle reports in no particular order:
Battle for Harrison's Ford
Thursday Night Mayhem – The Baron's Blog
Mayhem 2.0 – The Baron's Blog
Drums in the Deep – various MAYHEM posts
Ten and Fifteen Mil – battle begins
Ten and Fifteen Mil – battle continues
Ten and Fifteen Mil – denouement
Tactical Command – several reports within the thread

Mayhem also has free BattleScribe army builder files for download that will allow you to create pretty much anything you want including the stronghold of your dreams.

I'll add that while both games are in the same genre, they are quite different mechanically. I'm around if you have any questions about Mayhem.

I just went on Wargames Vault and bought both :) So I'll be able to see for myself. Thanks !
