I have mold or something growing on my primed Dwarven Forge pieces. They are primed with Liquitex Black Gesso. It's only on the paint, not the game tiles. Best way to handle it? Brush it off? Clean with mild cleaner? Something that won't melt the tile? Burn it? Take off and nuke it from orbit?
Thanks, Xin |

Option 4 sounds best to me. Sorry, can't really help, otherwise, but if it really is mold, some of those can be toxic. |

Lick it, its Penicillin :) seriously I'd use lukewarm water and dice washer, scrub off with used toothbrush should do the trick its not like its rust (orrr its an alien entity and you have doomed us allll!:) Cheers good luck. |

Test a small piece or the back of a piece with Lysol to see how that effects it. After washing that Zargon recommended, the wipe it down with Lysol to try and kill the mold spores. Keep the pieces in a dry, cool/cold environment will help inhibit any further growth. Best to do all of this either outside or with good ventilation. As Mako11 said, many mold are toxic even though there are mold spores all over the place. Jim |

Leave it on for that authentic cave effect :o) Ok that will only work after you paint them. I would do what Zargon suggested but I would look at where you are storing your stuff. I have mine still in the original shipping box and have nothing growing on them. Maybe it is something in your primer? |

My prime concern would be to ensure that nothing else gets contaminated – I would be tempted to bin it. |

Brush it off, finish painting, seal 'em. What a bunch of moldy wussies … um … cough … … |

I'd test scrub a piece in a bleach-water bath, then let it dry out thoroughly. Might also want to check your gesso to see if that's the culprit. Sometimes paints do go moldy… |

@Zeph, It's the gesso for sure. Nothing growing on the pvc Dwarven Forge piece. So tomorrow I will to a light bleach bath and throw them outside to melt….er dry. Thanks, Xin |

looks more like paper towel lint stuck to the paint more then mold growing on them. |
