Newly released in 28mm scale are my first two packs of East German National Volks Armee figures. Consisting of two packs, with four figures in each, they represent the first half of this range, with command and support packs coming later. Further down the line 28mm scale NATO opposition will also be commissioned.
A new 28mm scale Online Store has been created to showcase this new range and the old online store has been relabeled 20mm scale Online Store to avoid scale confusion. A link to the new packs can be found below… link In the meantime please enjoy the photo's below. Pack 2: 2 riflemen, an NCO & a PKM gunner.
Pack 3: 3 riflemen and a RPK gunner
Going forward pack one will be the command pack and pack 4 the support pack. All figures in this new range are 28mm in scale and cast out of white metal. I will happily answer any questions people have. Regards, Westy38. underfireminiatures.com |

Oh now those are sweet! So NATO opposition are coming? Would Bundeswehr be among them? Nobody does them in 28mm. Nice stuff! Keep it coming! |

Is Tony Bousted the sculptor who has done the Empress moderns? It looks like his work. |

These certainly look like Mr. Boustead's work; regardless, think they look great. I do collect 28mm moderns, though not any Cold War stuff. That being said, I plan to order because 1) they look great and I am sure I can use them for something, and 2) I think any 28mm moderns deserve support so we can see more in the future: beats the hell out of another zombie release! |

Thanks for all the comments guys. I'm glad my 28's have made such a good impression on people. In answer to all the questions… Yes. Tony Boustead is the sculptor. Pack 1 (Pltn Cmd) & Pack 4 (Light Support) are top of my next commissions list. Hopefully, this'll be going onto the bench in 3 to 4 months time. This has yet to be confirmed though. Bundeswehr (4 packs) will be on the commission after the next one. Given the interest in Ambush Alley's 'Cold War Gone Hot' source book I'll probably get the police for the Berlin game sculpted too. Other than that keep an eye on the website & this & other forums for developments as they occur. Regards. Westy. underfireminiatures.com |

Those look superb! Thanks for sharing your pics. Looking forward to seeing the other poses, and Bundeswehr opponents. Would like to see at least one figure with rifle raised to face, aiming/firing, and one prone rifleman too, for each opponent. Ideally, a pack of prone riflemen, and machine-gunner would be superb as well, for those of us wanting to do a bit of skirmish gaming, and that hate all of those status chits on the tabletop. I'd much prefer to swap out figs, as needed. |
