Blake, it is always interesting to me to see what others are building / painting. Your Vikings are very colourful.

Interesting that you put the sponsons as far back on the hull as you could. Any particular reason for that decision?

The photo the Hellhammer variant had the sponsons back at the rear. Being the historically challenged gamer I am, I glued them on that way. My other Hellhammer Baneblade variant has the sponsons at the front. But that was the old Baneblade kit that cost $90.00 USD. The new kit was $149.96 USD with tax.

But the Baneblade is still a poorly designed kit for the money given all the trouble I had with the treads on both vehicles. The Land Raider was much easier to assemble. I don't if that's due to the fact I've put 8 Land Raiders together or whether it's a better designed model…

Hmm, maybe you got a bad batch – I've assembled four Baneblade kits for my Guard (two Baneblades, a Shadowsword and a Stormlord) and never had any trouble with the treads that I can recall. Impressive looking tanks either way! Yeah it's frustrating that GW put all the options to build any of the variants into one kit but charged an extra arm and a leg despite the fact you still only get one tank out of the box…
