Starting now: Attack From Beneath!

From their own ad: It used to be called "Atlantic Rim". Now it's called "Attack From Beneath". It is a "Mockbuster"!

It Came From Beneath the Rim! …

will be the sequel.

'It Came From Beneath the Rim…..of the Toilet Bowl'

Weird, my cable line up called it Atlantic Rim not Attack From Beneath.

I had already sat through about 60% of this one on Hulu Plus one night about a year ago, also listed as Atlantic Rim then too. Something I don't think I could do again.

Usually I like these The Asylum productions as background filler while I assemble or paint minis. But something about this one just raked me wrong. Of course I have to be honest and say that while I enjoyed Pacific Rim the first time I saw it, it too falls apart for me after a second viewing.

It's like they didn't even try:

Effects – horrible

Acting – horrible

Dialog – horrible

It made SS Doomtrooper look good.

That was the original title before SYFY got a hold of it.

It made SS Doomtrooper look good.

Wow. I simply can't get my mind around that concept. That implies a level of decraptitude that goes below anything a rational mind could envision.

Is this the movie with the flying Alien Tentacle ship.

Caught some of it last night and it was horrible.

So horrible that I kept going back to it.

tberry740326 Mar 2015 4:54 p.m. PST

No, that would have been: Bermuda Tentacles.

Starred Linda Hamilton (who has not aged well).

In the German version it is titled: American Warships II because of the "success" of American Warships.

Oh, and just to wet your appetite:

Coming this summer: LAVALANTULA!!

That's right folks, giant, lava-spitting tarantulas attack LA.

With Steve Guttenburg!

They should be ashamed … frown

Hollywood HAS no shame. That's why this garbage keeps getting made. grin

wminsing27 Mar 2015 8:06 a.m. PST

Exactly. As long as someone pays for it, stuff like this will always be made. And there's always going to be a market for it. My only comfort is that it's all providing fodder for some future incarnation of Mystery Science Theater 3000….

Yup did not age well at all.

But it was a very horrible movie though.
