Anybody know of any company that makes relatively accurate Russian fortifications for the high middle ages? Most of the ones I've seen look too 'Western' for me. Was hoping for something like out of the Osprey Medieval Russian Fortresses book (the later period). Any help would be appreciated! |

Zvezda has a plastic Russian wooden frontier fort that can be purchased as a complete set or in separate parts. It's designed to complement their 1/72 soft plastic figures. |

Zvevda HAD…afaik No one. Before say 1500 mostly wood but sometimes brick, or mixed ( ex Kolomna) The brick, mostly these are monasteries. The wooded ones: you need a high laager a la Roman with palisades. The towers and doors would be more typical. Not easy. Then you get very few minis for this period and even less accurate ones. |

What scale/size are you looking for? Merrimack or Old Glory used to make some in 25mm, but I can't find them on their site. 1st Corps makes a few 25mm buildings, including a rural Eastern church, but no fortifications. |

I have a Post-Mongol Russian DBA army that I want to display with some cultural architecture or something that looks close. These miniatures are 15mm Essex. If the structures can be used in-game, even better. Now that I think of it, a church would be pretty cool for display purposes. |

Church and short gardens palisades would do. Got good ones from North Star. |

Here's an interesting paper model. Although it's supposed to be a WH Kislev tower, I think it might work for a renaissance Russian one: link |
