Darkplane is a new campaign setting compatible with the new 5th edition of Dungeons & Dragons (though the book is pretty rules-light, so you could theoretically adapt it to whatever system you had in mind). It's currently up on Kickstarter and looking for some funding love. And loved they are, since they're almost 2x funded. The setting is a mix of dark fantasy, horror, and pulp. Looks kind of cool, though I have been running my own world for 25 years now (god I am old). I hope they were careful with the IP stuff though. They are not screwing around shutting down anything that has a mere mention of copy written material. 5th Edition is not part of the open game license (though they intend to open it up). I am sure they were careful, and can avoid it though. |
