I was not aware of that, so thanks for sharing. Far too many US troops lost their lives during the Cold War, in order to keep us safe. |

Some don't realize, how hot the Cold War got in some places. Like the inter-German border, the DMZ in the ROK and some places in Central and South America. As far as forgetting, many didn't even know anything was going on. As well as many in the US, forget WWI and Korea. And even Vietnam is beginning to fade for some who had no attachment to it … Another indication of the condition of the US education system. But that alone is not the problem. General apathy about anything that happened beyond last week or so. However, as I often say, many know the score of last night's game, who Kim and JLo are bedding, etc. … |
