"At the end of February 2015, the Azerbaijani Minister of Defence Industry Yaver Jamalov said in an interview with the Baku TV channel ANS, that Azerbaijan is in talks with Brazilian firm GESPI for the co-production of anti-tank weapons. Those weapons could be the ALAC (Light Anti-Armour Weapon, Arma Leve Anticarro in Portuguese) rocket launcher, a licensed version of the Saab AT-4 single-shot rocket launcher.

In the near future the representatives of this company will come to the next stage of the negotiations in Azerbaijan, but the results will be known in April, this year. Brazil's Defence Minister invited Azerbaijani side to participate in an international arms exhibition to be held in April, LAAD 2015 Defence & Security exhibition. There should be signed the relevant documents", – said J. Jamalov…"

Interesting but not surprising. Brazil is a very active weapons exporter. They sell a lot of clone weapons as lower cost alternatives to the original, and Azerbaijan looks like the kind of customer who wants the best but can only afford the copies.

I know it well, I word with them since 25 years ago!.
