So there was a 2-minute 'preview' of this released a few years ago, but there's the full 7-minute version:

Pretty phenomenal work. Makes me want to game Star Wars right now!

Will, thanks for sharing--great looking film.Makes me wanna play some Star Wars Full Thrust now.

Great animation and design. You can really tell it's someone's labor of love. Shame about the music, though, it really took me out of the film (and yes, I get what he was going for – 80s anime style).

Nice to see some of the new-ish X-Wing ships doing the biz!

Its always nice to see the 'bad guys' as real people too!

That was a blast! Now, if only some talented animator would do the same for Silent Death, Full Thrust, and Star War 2250 A.D…. evil grin

That is great and it shows his passion. I don't think he got much gaming in during the four years it took home to make though. :-)

Had to give up – the music defeated me !

wminsing24 Mar 2015 4:02 p.m. PST

Well I loved the music, but then I grew up with it. :)

There's no real dialog, so just listen to it with the sound off. ;)

Glad most of you liked!

It had a very "Heavy Metal" vibe both in the music and the animation.

And the good guys finally won!

Very fun, and it led me to the IMPS – The Relentess series too.

KTravlos25 Mar 2015 9:45 a.m. PST

I remember his first version and it was great. I have a feeling somebody will remaster it with better music.

Hombre25 Mar 2015 2:25 p.m. PST

Too bad about the music. Really ruins it. Completely out of place and way too loud.

Hopefully he'll release a new version without it.

Only the droids have speaking roles. Even the one xwing pilot gave a hand signal during the initial attack. Are all humans mute telepaths in this reboot? :-)

DinoDoc27 Mar 2015 7:57 a.m. PST

It was a one man project. So no voice actors.

Several characters are shown as speaking, but no voices are heard. It's a well done and impressive piece in the anime style, especially for a lone animator.

Too bad that they got stationed to the Death Star after this battle.

"Too bad that they got stationed to the Death Star after this battle."

I snorted out my Dr. Pepper with this. Well played, sir. +1 Internetz.
