At the club on Monday Mark ran this scenario for us, a foray onto the subcontinent and into a war I knew nothing about. These are Irregular Miniatures 6mm Marathas trudging across a dusty valley in northern India:
2 Indians strung out on the march by bbbchrisp, on Flickr I posted a fuller report here: link Chris |

Interesting about having marching before the fighting, so the better disciplined army shows up together. I don't know much about the Maratha war. But the other wars in India between British, French and Indians tend to have the Europeans discover that the Indians break before cold steel. So on top of skirmishers and devastating volleys, they should be rated as aggressive. Of course then the Indians probably need more than 3-2 odds… And, are the British cavalry required to exploit? Seems like they did during the Napoleonic wars. |

Oh yeah, the British infantry do indeed get rated Aggressive as well. Tough nuts. Fortunately (for their opponents, that is) most of the British army is sepoys, who are no better nor worse than Gwalior regulars. Chris |
