I finally was able to get my 10mm Blucher armies on the table last night. Though my first outing as a Russian army commander left much to be desired, the rules were a hit, and at least my Russians looked good while they were being demolished. link

Did I read right, that you knew what momentum dice was rolled for you? I thought it would stay secret and revealed as you reached your limit. Sorry if I am misreading your blog. Thanks |

Very nice basing! I like the fact that the tag "shelf" can be used for a stable place to put the hit die. |

No, Joe had rolled an 18 on my behalf. I only activated two of my corps, not wanting to commit my whole army so early in the game. It was only after I ended my move that Joe revealed the roll. I was fine with marking up my labels (which are color printed and glue-sticked on), but Joe offered the use of his hit cubes, thus saving the pristine nature of my labels for another fight. Honestly, it was a lot easier to see the cubes and calculate current elan than squinting at marks made with marker of pencil. |

Great looking troops! How did the extra-beefy Russian artillery work out? |

The hit dice could be employed by using small dice in their own frame examples can be seen here ( link ) which I use on my 28mm figure stands. They are from "Minibits" ours are a small 7mm but large enough to be easily seen. Your info cards/bases appear to have enough room on the right corner to glue the wood frames directly onto the card.

I only was able to deploy one battery effectively, and its success hardened my resolve to make better use of it in the future. It's not a huge advantage over the French guns, but every little bit helps. Auld M, the real estate on the labels to which you refer is reserved for those unit characteristics that are difficult to represent with the minis themselves (like Conscript or Mobile). The little colored blocks are a signature element of our club games, so we will probably stick with them. Nice looking minis BTW. I love the mud on the coats of the Guard! |

Great battle report and lovely troops. You really get the impression of a grand tactical engagement with your layout. Interesting seeing the alternatives people are coming up with to track unit Elan. Our group are still toying with ideas to use with miniatures while we play with the cards in the meantime. |

Doug,We need a 1D8 holder for the Old Guard. Your figures are nice and hope to see them again at Enfilade. |

Simply put the die at 2 and reduce from there. What I do. |
