Because the main Royalist field army was based at Oxford, the King's wartime capital; and we know that several Oxford Army regiments of foot were issued with uniforms including the Montero cap that these figures are wearing – coat, breeches and cap either all in red or all in blue. |

Judging by the pinched waistline of the second in from the left it looks like Cromwell ran off with his plum pudding before the war was even over. |
