I am new to 20mm, having decided to transition from 28mm for WWII. I am looking at doing some 21st Panzer Division vehicles for my lovely AB Germans. I already have a Solfig/RetrokiT 15cm sFH13/1 Lorraine Schlepper (f). I would like to add some P107 (f) and Pak40 auf S307 (f) halftracks as well as some of the H39 variants with Pak 40 and 10.5 cm gun.

I know Raventhorpe makes the former and Britannia but am wondering how the three manufacturers will fit together and any generally thought on the kits themselves. Or, is there something I am overlooking?

Thanks for any thoughts.

The old Skytrex vehicles which are with EWM as above.

Raventhorpe have most of them.

MMS also do some artillery tows and one of the halftrack models.

Milicast have some beautiful SPGs.

Raventhorpe are the biggest of the lot and can take serious glue to hold them together as well as a need for filling. But they have a few that I think you can only get from them. Skytrex can also be on lager size – not as big as Raventhorpe – but both are bigger than MMS or Milicast

I use those with my Raventhorpe vehicles (which I also have pics of if you need them) in my forces all together. I find teh ex-Skytrex ones to be more 1/76th while the rest is more 1/72nd so dont have the Skytrex ones, but its really personal preference how you find they fit in.

I have EWM (Skytrex), Grubby (Britannia) and Raventhorpe in my collection. They go together well as long as you don't mix the same vehicle from different manufacturers. I'm happy with them anyway!

I find Ready to Roll too big. Not 28mm big, but maybe 25mm big!

Since many of the versions of the halftracks are on different vehicles, just stick to one maker for each type. I have MMS, Raventhorpe, and Skytrex and they don't look badly together.

There are also a couple of the French halftracks made in styrene from ACE Models.

Thanks, everyone, for the very informative replies. It sounds like using various manufacturers, as long as I don't use the same vehicle from more than a single manufacturer will be fine.

@ PiersBrand, I would indeed like to see photos of your Raventhorpe vehicles -- the others were very inspirational!

Thanks again for taking the time to post your thoughts. I appreciate the help.
