"Dear sweet baby Jesus! Pixels is real! If you feel like you've been waiting forever for this movie, you basically have. Or you have in pop culture years, at least. The short film that gave rise to the imminent theatrical release, Pixels: Retro Gamers, came out in the spring of 2010. After it went viral, Sony optioned the short to be adapted to feature length, naturally. But now it's finally coming out! Under normal circumstances, a movie starring Adam Sandler and Kevin James in this day and age would make us very sad, but they appear alongside Josh Gad, Peter Dinklage, and the forever-underappreciated Michelle Monaghan, and that makes us very happy. It's also a movie that features Pac-Man and is directed by The Architect of Childhood, Chris Columbus (Home Alone, Mrs. Doubtfire, Adventures in Babysitting, etc" YouTube link Don't like Adam Sanders, but this looks funny to see with the kids.
