Hi all, With the completion of the Provincial de Guadix militia infantry regiment I have finished the six battalions of infantry in General Portago's Division at Talavera,
The Guadix Regiment were in the war right from the start with Spanish success at Bailen in 1808. The survivors from those heady days to Talavera were true veterans in every sense of the word. If you would like to know more, then just follow the link to JJ's link Jonathan |

Another great looking unit. I think Warmodelling, although not to the same quaility as AB, add a really nice variety to an army. I've got a French 1800 Demi-brigade on the work bench that mixes both ranges and I think it should look great when done (that's a great mix of figures, not my painting). I'm looking forward to seeing your Spanish cavalry next. Colin |

Hi Colin, thank you. Yes I totally agree. The detail on the AB casts is very precise and beautifully in scale. The Warmodelling can be more of a mixed feast, but often have more interesting animation and are great to paint, for it. The fact that they, as with most of the 18mm ranges, are all fairly complimentary one with another just adds to the possibilities of creating more variety for the eye to wonder over. The El Rey should be done this week and I'll put up some pictures of the force as a whole. JJ |

Did you see the links I posted to UK sellers that may carry Warmodelling Spanish volunteers? |

Yes I did thanks. I'm not in any hurry to add to the Spanish just yet as other projects beckon at the moment, but it's good to know the other suppliers are there just in case |
