Didnt' see this coming. Not actually the Confederacy but free speech related to the Confereracy…

I have never sympathized with the Confederate States as far as thier politics or secession. But I do not have a problem with ancestors displaying Sons of Confedrate Veterans license plate. Maybe I am too sympathetic in that respect.

New Hampshire and the other states are being pragmatic. They don't want the courts interfering with millions in additional revenue every year.

Interesting that this is a big deal in Texas. In Virginia we have a SCV plate and the reaction has been…{yawn}.

I'd pay to have this on a license plate:

Mind you probably wouldn't want to drive in the Old South with it. ;-)

Particularly with Minnesota plates where we still hold the flag of the 28th VA we took at Gettysburg……

But I do not have a problem with ANCESTORS displaying Sons of Confedrate Veterans license plate.

New Hampshire lets dead people drive?

138SquadronRAF – I like the concept. You could get away with it in New Hamshire and Massachusetts. But not in Texas. Knowing the Texans they would use it for target practice while it was still on the car.

49mountain, I suspect it would go something like this:

As the boys (and the film crew) will now admit, this is the scariest challenge they ever faced in the history of the show. "Survival Challenge in Alabama": Drive through Alabama with offensive slogans painted on their cars and try not to get killed. Things are tense on the highway, then reach boiling point at a gas station."

This from the show that drove through Iraq and Syria…….

They are better shots in Alabama.

I already have something similar on my truck. One of those "Calvin urinating on Things" window stickers.
