While looking for something cheap on Amazon to bump my order up to the free shipping I found this for $2.50 USD 8" long paper straws with a printed bamboo pattern.
I though of a giant bamboo forest [you though Kong ate measly tiny bamboo?] or a stack of fresh cut logs for cover/cargo but how well do they scale?
Nicely I think, now to actually do something with them. |

Very nice. And that Bogart figure is the business! Who makes the sassy-looking dame, by the way? |

Be careful. Giant bamboo stalks attract giant giant pandas… King Wong, the Ninth Wonder of the World! |

They also attract giant red pandas. No one can save against their cuteness. |

How durable are they? Would you need to fill with something to make the strong enough for gaming with? (By something I mean caulk or wood filler or … something.) |

They would make nice bamboo huts and a stockade to keep giant gorillas out. |

Useful for 54mm WWII Pacific island skirmish games too. |

Paper straws tend to self destruct rather easily, they're designed to do so as that's the one advantage they have over the plastic ones. It's actually rather easy to paint up a normal plastic straw as bamboo stalk… |
